Skyline Bones New Music Workshop
We are Skyline Bones, a trombone trio based in NYC, dedicated to expanding the repertoire and providing excellent music for our audiences. Over the years, we’ve explored a great deal of music for trombone trio together, but we’re looking for more! That’s where you come in!
Skyline Bones is accepting applications for our New Music Workshop which will take place June 21-22nd in NYC. Selected applicants will have their original composition or arrangement for trombone trio rehearsed and performed as part of a recital at Scholes Street Studio Brooklyn, NYC. The rehearsals will be live-streamed for the composer and the performance will be video/audio recorded. Of course, we hope that you’ll be able to join us in-person but we want this opportunity to be open to those who are unable to travel as well!
We are excited to check out any of your pieces that might be suitable for us but here are some general guidelines:
Duration: 3-8 minutes preferred, individual movements of longer works will be considered
Instrumentation: 1 bass trombone, 2 tenor trombones. Doublings involving bass trombone, tenor trombone, alto trombone, euphonium and tuba will be considered.
